14 - Kamil Kuchovsky - Kuchovsky actually completed the Velka twelve times although eight times he had to remount , sometimes several times. His best placing was in 1975 when he finished second on Kyb. He also finished fourth on the same horse a year later and was third on Santos in his final Velka ride in 1985. Kuchovsky died in.. and is buried on the racecourse near the Taxis.
